2025 Nā Kamehameha Commemorative Pāʻū Parade awards; Hōʻolauleʻa highlights

The annual Nā Kamehameha Commemorative Pāʻū Parade and Hōʻolauleʻa returned to Central Maui on Saturday, June 21, 2025, with a vibrant celebration honoring aliʻi, culture and community. The celebration began with a parade that made its way down Kaʻahumanu Avenue from Mahalani Street to Kahului Beach Road, drawing crowds of spectators waving flags and lei.

2024 Nā Kamehameha Commemorative Pāʻū Parade and Hoʻolauleʻa awards

Awards for the 2024 Nā Kamehameha Commemorative Pāʻū Parade and Hoʻolauleʻa were announced during the event on Saturday, June 15. The annual celebration was moved to Central Maui this year due to the fires in Lahaina. Taking home the eventʻs perpetual trophy was the unit representing the island of Kahoʻolawe.

2023 Nā Kamehameha Commemorative Pāʻū and Parade awards announced

Awards for Saturday’s Nā Kamehameha Commemorative Pāʻū Parade, held in Lahaina, Maui, were announced. The event theme this year, “E ala e nā kini o ka ʻāina!” is translated as “Arise all people of the land!”

First Pāʻu Queen in 10 years rides Kamehameha Day in Lahaina, June 17

The 2023 Nā Kamehameha Commemorative Pāʻū Parade and Hoʻolauleʻa will host a Pāʻū Queen for the first time in 10 years this Saturday, June 17, 2023, event organizers said. As the longest running event in West Maui, the parade will showcase eight pāʻū units, decorated vehicles and floats by Maui’s businesses and nonprofits, and will be led by the Royal Order of Kamehameha.
