UH Study Finds Growth of Delicacy ‘Opihi Influenced by Intertidal Environment
A new study by University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa researches found crashing waves and water temperature along rocky shorelines strongly influence the growth patterns of the yellowfoot limpet, also called ʻopihi ʻālinalina, an intertidal species that is endemic to the Hawaiian Islands and a popular delicacy.
