The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa is launching the University of Hawaiʻi Pacific Center for Genome Research with a $10.9 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to study the genetic causes of diseases disproportionately affecting Native Hawaiians and Asian Americans.
Expectant Moms in Hawaiʻi Wanted for Nationwide Gestational Diabetes Study
Kaiser Permanente Hawaiʻi Center for Health Research is seeking pregnant women in their first trimester and without diabetes to participate in the new nationwide GO MOMs study to improve gestational diabetes screening and diagnosis by better understanding blood glucose levels throughout pregnancy. The study is supported by the National Institutes of Health.
