Maui celebrates Prescription Drug Take Back Day on April 22 in Wailuku and Kīhei

Anyone with expired or unused prescription medications is encouraged to bring their medications between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023 to collection sites located on Maui at the Kīhei and Wailuku police stations.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, April 30

Since 2010, the public’s participation in the National Take Back Initiative has resulted in the collection and disposal of over 56,000 pounds of unused/expired prescription medications in Hawaiʻi.

Drop Off for Old and Expired Medication, Oct. 22

The public is encouraged to bring in expired or unused prescription medication to the collection sites. This service is free and anonymous – no questions asked.
