State studies feasibility of volunteer-led natural solutions for beach erosion
Volunteer efforts to restore an eroding shoreline in Windward Oʻahu are being observed for a new feasibility commissioned by the Hawaiʻi Climate Change Commission, DLNR, UH Sea Grant, and Oʻahu MPO, in contract with Sea Engineering.
Blue Planet Foundation launches Hawaiʻi Commute Challenge to “Go Multimodal”
The Hawaiʻi-based nonprofit Blue Planet Foundation, announced the launch of its 2023 Hawaiʻi Commute Challenge: Go Multimodal. Participants will walk, bike, bus, carpool and utilize public transportation for any trip to earn points, complete weekly challenges, and compete for a chance to win fun prizes.
