The state has announced details of new daily non-stop service from Tokyo’s Narita International Airport to Kona aboard Japan Airlines.

Hawaiian Holdings, Inc., parent company of Hawaiian Airlines, Inc., yesterday reported net losses of $50.0 million for the three months ended June 30, 2011 of $50.0 million.

Today, Hawaiian Airlines began daily service between Honolulu and Osaka, Japan, marketing the third time in eight months that Hawaiian Airlines began service to a new destination in Asia.

Hawaiian Airlines reconfirmed that it will not be reducing service to Japan and is still planning to start an Osaka service in July. Executives predict a bookings recovery by May.
