The Hawaiian Council announced today that Laritza has been selected as the Oʻahu winner of “Hawai‘i to the World,” which aired Sunday night. Her performance was a moving combination of a traditional oli and classical piano – earning her the top spot among Oʻahu’s finalists and securing her a place in the finale.  

The Hawaiian Council is calling on Maui to tune in and cheer for its incredible homegrown talent as “Hawai‘i to the World,” Maui Auditions airs this Sunday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m., on Hawai‘i News Now, simulcast on K5 and KHNL, and streaming across all HNN platforms.

The Hawaiian Council, a nonprofit advancing Native Hawaiians and Hawai‘i, has partnered with WitzEnd Productions, an award-winning Broadway production company, to preview “The Epic Tale of Hiʻiaka” during the 2025 Native Hawaiian Convention, the largest annual gathering of Native Hawaiians, on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2025, at the Tulalip Resort & Casino in Washington.

The Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement announced the eight Maui finalists who will compete at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center on Sunday, June 29, for Hawai‘i to the World Television Talent Competition. These artists were selected for their exceptional talent and deep connection to Hawai‘i’s cultural heritage.

The televised competition is designed to spotlight artists, musicians, storytellers, fashion designers and other performers who can represent Hawai‘i on a global stage.

The series titled “TEK / TECH” shares the artistic collaborative tools used in the creation of choreographer Christopher K. Morgan’s new evening length dance, “Native Intelligence / Innate Intelligence” which will be performed at the MACC in June 2022.
