Checkpoints Aim to Add Layer of Protection for Hāna
The checkpoints are intended to protect the isolated community, which has limited medical resources, by restricting road traffic to East Maui residents only. The checkpoints are after Twin Falls on the Hāna Highway at at ʻUlupalakua Ranch on Piʻilani Highway.
