Hawaiian Electric nears completion on storm restoration work: 248 without power on Big Island

As of 8 a.m. today, about 248 Hawai‘i Island customers remain without power. Crews are continuing to respond to scattered, isolated outages in the following areas:

Power outage update: Hawaiian Electric working to restore power to 1,902 on Big Island, 64 in Upcountry Maui, and 62 on Oʻahu

Hawaiian Electric crews continue work to restore power to the remaining customers impacted by Tropical Storm Hone. As of 10:30 a.m., 1,902 remained without power on the Big Island, 92 were without power in Upcountry Maui, and 62 customers were without power on Oʻahu.

Update/Power Restored: Earlier outages reported in Lahaina, Olowalu, Launiupoko and Kahului

Update (8:20 a.m. May 10, 2024). Power has been restored to all customers impacted by earlier outages in Kahului and Lahaina.
