Rock & Brews owners thank TSA employees working without pay, offering free food at the restaurants nationwide during the partial government shutdown.

In honor of the traditional Bavarian festival, Rock & Brews will feature a menu of German-inspired dishes and beer specials until the festival concludes on Oct. 22.

Rock & Brews co-founder Paul Stanley is the cover story in September’s Food & Beverage magazine. The KISS star speaks about the restaurant’s food and success.

The series runs every Monday to Thursday night throughout the summer, and pays tribute to some of the industry’s biggest names with live music from 9 p.m. until closing at 11 p.m.

On the same weekend that Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley celebrated the blessing of their Rock & Brews restaurant in Pāʻia, the pair were also guests at the grand opening of the new spa at The Fairmont Kea Lani, Wailea.

The Rock & Brews restaurant, proposed for development in Pāʻia, announced a planned grand opening event in January, despite a challenge to the project’s permits.

“If it begins to look like any other place in the world’s strip malls, what would be the tourist draw?”

Those in attendance say the meeting drew an estimated crowd of about 130 with individuals voicing both support and opposition to the project.

“Based on overwhelmingly negative feedback from merchants, community members and visitors alike we are asking for… a public forum to address concerns and the potential negative impact this could have on Paia’s future.”
