Inspired by Maui resident’s’ recollections of historic Wailuku, Sachelle Dae has created three paintings and storyteller Anu Yagi, a performance — works crystallizing their vision of a people and town serving a vital role in the economic and cultural development of Maui.

The Small Town, Big Stories project will serve as a tool to continually create and collect stories from the Maui community.

The Ka Ipu Kukui Fellows program, designed to help develop and train future Maui leaders, is now accepting applications for it’s 12th annual cohort.
