Hawaiʻi ranks 50th in the nation for participation of low-income children in the national School Breakfast Program, according to the latest national School Breakfast Scorecard.

The report finds that fewer than 40 low-income children in Hawai‘i ate school breakfast for every 100 that received free or reduced-price school lunch.
