The Lānaʻi Culture & Heritage Center celebrates the new year with the opening of a virtual audio and visual exhibit that takes visitors on a journey to explore Lānaʻi’s past as a way to better understand the island of today. 

Lānaʻi Culture & Heritage Center today launches a new virtual  exhibit as part of its centennial celebration that commemorates the plantation life that began when the island was purchased by pineapple pioneer James Dole in 1922. 

Organizers of the project on Lānaʻi are currently inviting residents and former residents to contribute Lānaʻi photographs that will help to “ignite” further brainstorming by the artists and community about oral stories told by several residents.
