Maui Strong Fund awards $575,000 to 3 organizations providing relief for children, families affected by Maui wildfires
Hawai‘i Community Foundation announced the award of $575,000 to three nonprofit partners focused on providing assistance to Maui families with small children who have been affected by the fires in August: Partners in Development Foundation, Child and Family Service, and the Hoʻoikaika Partnership with fiscal sponsor Maui Family Support Services.
$50K Grant for Healthy Development of Hawaiian Children
Funds will go towards operations statewide, programs on specific islands, and programs that support healthy development of Hawaiian children and young adults.
Maui’s Lahaina Showcased in Local “Wahi Pana” TV Series
The storied past of Lahaina in West Maui will be featured in the upcoming edition of the local television Series “Wahi Pana: Hawai‘i’s Special Places,” which airs this Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 6:30 p.m. on KGMB (re-air Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 6:30 p.m. on KHNL).
