The 56-year-old male victim was revived by firefighters and paramedics at the scene. The man was transported to Maui Memorial Medical Center in critical condition, but has since been upgraded to stable condition.

Firefighters made access to the home through an open side door into a laundry room where flames were observed rolling over the ceiling and cabinets.
