A man, described by Maui police as a wanted fugitive, surrendered to authorities without further incident this afternoon.

Maui Police are asking for the public’s help in locating Samson K. Hill in connection to an Attempted Murder investigation that occurred on at the McDonald’s restaurant in Wailuku on Monday.

UPDATE: Police Shooting Investigation at Wailuku McDonald’s

Police say the driver sped away “nearly hitting one officer” who then discharged their weapon at the vehicle. The incident occurred at the McDonald’s on Main St in Wailuku.

A public meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at the Good Shepherd Church in Wailuku.
