A 60-year-old man from Washington State was airlifted to safety Monday morning after he fell and injured his leg while hiking on the Waiheʻe Ridge Trail.

A 36-year-old man from Washington State suffered fatal injuries in a motor vehicle accident in Haʻikū on Saturday night. The incident was reported at 10:38 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, on Kokomo Road, about 150 north of Lilikoʻi Road in Haʻikū.
