Event organizers say the Maui vigil will serve to both remember victims who lost their lives to domestic violence, and support survivors as well.

Dozens of community members joined in a procession up Main Street in Wailuku today, as they walked together in a silent vigil held in honor of a Maui boy who died last week in a suspected case of abuse.

Zion Remembered in Anti-Violence Silent Vigil

The procession will start at 4 p.m. at the Weinberg Building in Wailuku, and proceed up Main Street to the Court House on High Street, where a moment of silence will be observed in Zion’s memory.
