The fire involved 20% of the 1000 square-foot single family dwelling, according to Maui Fire Services Chief Lee Mainaga.

Responding crews had difficulty reaching the scene due to terrain and obstacles blocking access, said Mainaga.

No injuries were reported. The blaze is under investigation by fire inspectors.
