Maui Seeks Nominations for Volunteer Hero Program

The County of Maui is seeking nominations for the Fall edition of its Volunteer Hero program.

Those who are selected for recognition are featured in the volunteer spotlight section of the Maui News and the new Hands on Maui website.

The October Volunteer Hero will also receive a $50 Queen Ka’ahumanu Gift Card.  All nominees will receive a small gift and a Letter of Appreciation as well as an offer to attend a Celebration of Service ceremony scheduled for next year.

Nominees can do any type of volunteer work for a non-profit organization in Maui County.  Nominations are due by September 30, 2011.

The program is offered by the County of Maui Volunteer Center and is supported by a grant with Tri Isle Resource and Conservation Development, Inc.
