Hana House Fire Causes $210,000 Damage

A fire in Hana caused an estimated $210,000 to a three-bedroom home on Saturday, September 24, 2011.

The fire was reported at 11:09 a.m. at 1350 Hana Highway.

Engine 7, Mini 7, and Tanker 7 responded to the scene.

When the first unit arrived, the structure was fully involved, according to Maui fire officials.

Authorities say no-one was home at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported.

The home was a single story, 900 square foot structure.

The fire was brought under control by 12:43 p.m., and was fully extinguished by around 4:30 p.m.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
