It’s Restaurant Week in Wailea

May 20-26 is “Restaurant Week Wailea” and 16 area restaurants are participating in this popular event which is also a fundraiser for the Maui Food Bank.

Wailea Resort restaurants and celebrity chefs have created three course pre-fixe menus for prices ranging from $29 to $39 or $49 per person, depending on the restaurant. Some restaurants have enhanced the promotion by creating wine pairings for the meal at a special price.

“Restaurant Week Wailea continues to be a popular promotion for the restaurants and diners,” said Bud Pikrone, the general manager at the Wailea Community Association, in a written statement.

“Last year nearly $10,000 was raised from Restaurant Week Wailea for the Maui Food Bank and having it again this year we hope to surpass that amount.”

Each participating restaurant has agreed to make a contribution to the Maui Food Bank for every pre-fixe entrée sold during Restaurant Week Wailea, as part of the resorts community giving.
