State officials say the highway was damaged during the heavy rains in March of this year.

The Hana Highway will remain open during construction, but may be limited to one lane at each construction work site while repairs are being made.

Work hours are from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, with night and weekend work as needed. Repairs are expected to be completed by February 2013, weather permitting.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and use caution while driving through the work zones. Traffic control measures will be in place during work hours.
