Police Seek Help in Locating Missing Maui Man

***UPDATE: Police say Matthew D. McCormick has since been located on Monday, June 30, 2014, by a Wailuku Patrol Officer, and was reported to be in good health.

Maui Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a 30-year-old Maui man who was last seen in Makawao on Thursday, June 12.

Maui police describe Matthew D. McCormick as 5-feet 9-inches tall, 125 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, and a fair complexion.  He also has multiple tattoos including a full sleeve tattoo on his right arm.

Police say McCormick was reported missing by his mother on Saturday, June 21. The woman told police that she last heard from her son via a text message on June 11, asking how she was, but did not know where he was or who he might be with.

According to Maui police, McCormick’s mother said her son has addictions and that he sometimes suffers from seizures.
