Warning Level Surf Continues Today

A High Surf Warning is posted for the north and west shores of Molokai and the north shore of Maui through 6 p.m. Tuesday.
A High Surf Advisory is posted for the west shore of Maui through 6 p.m. Tuesday.
A Small Craft Advisory is in effect through 6 p.m. Tuesday for all Maui County waters except Māʻalaea Bay.

Maui Surf Forecast
North: Most spots are washed out today. Deep water breaks like Pe’ahi “Jaws” could see sets of 25 to 35 foot faces but declining through the day.
West: Wrap from the northwest swell affecting some western shores today. Spots along the western coast will vary greatly in size based on the amount of exposure rating from waist high waves to overhead to even bigger at the best breaks.
South: Wave heights are waist high or less. Spots with wrap could get up to knee/thigh high.
Our current swell is expected to hold pretty steady today and begin a downward trend but warning level surf is still expected through much of the day.
Another large northwest swell is expected Wednesday through Thursday, which will be from a more distant source. For now, the swell is expected to arrive Wednesday morning and build through the early Thursday before gradually fading Friday through Saturday. Warning level surf is expected with this round of swell as well. This swell is forecast to be a bit more westerly than the last one.
A small southwest swell is expected to show Thursday through Saturday. Another small bump could fill in the first week of March as well.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
