Fire Burns Abandoned Vehicles in Vacant Kahului Field
UPDATE: Maui firefighters quickly doused a brush fire in Kahului following reports of several abandoned vehicles that were on fire in a vacant lot. The incident was reported at around 4:07 p.m. in a field near the intersection of Lono Avenue and Makaliʻi Street. At least three vehicles were seen smoldering in the field made up mostly of dry grass and kiawe trees. No injuries were reported and police were on scene to investigate the incident.
ABANDONED VEHICLES ON FIRE, KAHULUI: 4:07 p.m. 4/18/16, Maui fire crews are responding to a report of a brush fire in a field near the intersection of Lono Ave and Makaliʻi St in Kahului. Initial reports indicate that the fire is burning three abandoned vehicles in a field of dry grass and kiawe.
