Mokulele Speed Limit Temporarily Dropped to 35 mph

The Maui Police Department advises motorists that the speed limit has been temporarily reduced on the Mokulele Highway between the Maui Humane Society animal shelter and North Kīhei Road.

The speed limit has been temporarily changed to 35 mph due to the active construction zone in the area.

The State Department of Transportation also issued an advisory notifying motorists of an alternating lane closure on Mokulele Highway in both directions between North Kīhei Road and Mehameha Loop on Monday, June 13, through Friday, June 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., daily, for paving work.
