Maui Surf Forecast
North: Wave heights are expected to be around waist/chest high on the sets for spots around Hana. Shoulder high waves are possible on the sets at stand out spots.
West: Surf is ankle/knee high today. The best breaks could get up to knee/waist high out of the south-southwest. Tummy/chest high on the sets.
South: Surf is around knee/waist high today. The best breaks could be a bit bigger from time to time.
Small south-southwest pulses linger into early this week. Nothing significant through at least mid-month. Perhaps something will line up around the 16th.
Tropical system Howard generated some east swell for the weekend and this swell is fading out today. Tropical system Ivette is not looking to send significant swell to the islands. Small swell will mix in Tuesday through Thursday. Omais (near Japan) and Javier (near Mexico) aren’t looking like wave makers for us.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
