Maui Surf Forecast
North: Wave heights are expected to be around knee/waist/chest high today.
West: Surf is ankle/knee high today.
South: Surf is around knee/thigh high today with occasionally bigger sets.
A new south-southwest swell will line up starting Tuesday, peaking Wednesday and Thursday. The swell will slowly build today.
Trade swell will hold for the next few days with onshore conditions for windward sides.
Mid-period north-northwest could be possible for 19th or so as a storm develops under the Aleutian Islands. Models are showing activity in the West Pacific so there is potential for swell energy out of that region in the future.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
