South:  Surf fills in today with waist/shoulder high waves and chest/head high waves in the afternoon. The best breaks could get up to slightly overhead on the sets.

Surf along north facing shores are forecast to rise Friday night into Saturday from a short period swell associated with the stronger winds behind the front. A series of small northwest swells are expected for next week as well.

A series of long period southerly swells are forecast over the weekend and into next week. The first swell should peak Friday night, near advisory levels, with another similar sized swell expected Monday.

Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
