Maui Surf Forecast
North: Surf heights are expected to be overhead today with the best breaks getting up to double overhead on the sets.
West: Surf heights are expected to be waist high today with the best breaks catching tummy/chest high sets. Spots catching the northwest wrap will be bigger.
South: Surf heights are expected to be waist high today with the best breaks catching tummy/chest high sets.
Our current south swell will fade through the middle of the week. Another shot of good south-southwest is forecast from Thursday/Friday through most of the Memorial Day weekend, possibly at advisory levels.
Our current northwest swell is peaking Monday. This swell will gradually shift out of a more north-northwest direction and hold into midweek as it trends down. Another north swell is forecast for Thursday and Friday with wind swell picking back up as the winds fill back in.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
