Plan Your Route: Maui Lane Closures July 22-28, 2017

The state Department of Transportation will conduct roadwork at various locations throughout Maui this week, resulting in lane closures and alternating lane closures between Saturday, July 22 and Friday, July 28, 2017.

Lane Closures in Makawao, Haʻikū and Pāʻia:

In Makawao, there will be lane closures on the Old Haleakalā Highway in the westbound direction between Makawao Avenue and Kula Highway on Monday, July 24, through Wednesday, July 26, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for road construction.

In Haʻikū, alternating lane closures are planned on the Hāna Highway in both directions between Mile 14 and 15 on Monday, July 24, through Friday, July 28, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., for road maintenance.

In Pāʻia, an alternating lane closure will be in effect on the Hāna Highway in one direction between the Pāʻia Mini-Bypass Road and Ulupua Place on Monday, July 24, through Friday, July 28, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for cold plane and resurfacing work.

Weekend Tree Trimming in Kula and Wailuku:

In Kula, weekend work is planned on Kekaulike Avenue, with a lane closure in the northbound direction between Kula Highway and Crater Road on Saturday, July 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for tree trimming.

And in Wailuku, weekend work is planned on High Street.  State crews plan to have a lane closure in effect in the southbound direction between Malako Street and Kehalani Makai Parkway on Saturday, July 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for tree trimming.

All projects are weather permitting and subject to change without further notice. Motorists are advised to drive with caution in the area and plan alternate routes accordingly.
