A Small Craft Advisory is posted for Pailolo and ʻAlenuihāhā channels as well as Māʻalaea Bay through 6:00 p.m. Friday. East winds up to 25 knots are forecasted along with rough seas of 7 to 12 feet. Inexperienced mariners should avoid navigating in these conditions.

North: Wave heights are expected around waist/chest/head high today for spots along Hana for example. Messy conditions due to the winds. Spots catching the small shot of north energy could get up to knee/waist high.
West: Pretty flat conditions are expected today for spots shadowed from the swells. Spots catching the new south-southwest could get up to thigh high by sundown.
South: Waist/chest high waves are expected late in the day today.
South-southeast continues to fade out. Meanwhile, new south-southwest will build on Tuesday and hold wave heights pretty steady through the weekend. This stretch of elevated surf is actually comprised of two pulses, the first pulse is expected to peak on Wednesday in the overhead range. The second pulse is expected to peak over the weekend.
Not a lot expected out of the North Pacific for the next few days. A small swell moves in today and tops out at chest high for the best spots. Messy conditions because of on-shore winds. Another swell is expected Thursday.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
