Tournament Introduces VIP Option at the Ritz Carlton for 2020 Event.

Programs in the 2019 Tournament boast a combined 198 NCAA Tournament appearances, 44 Final Four berths and 16 national championships.

45 teams have gone on to the Sweet 16, 19 have appeared in the Final Four and seven have won the national championship, including last year’s winner and NCAA champion North Carolina.

Several parks permit offices will be closed to the public on Tuesday, Nov. 7, while staff undergo training and implementation of new procedures.

The top half of the 2017 bracket features competitive games between Marquette and VCU, and Wichita State and California.

The Maui Parks Dept. will hold a public meeting to conduct a lottery for the scheduling of craft fairs at the Lahaina Civic Center and Kīhei Community Center.

ʻOhana Health Plan is sponsoring a Maui Middle School volleyball tournament on Saturday, Dec. 10 at the Lahaina Civic Center. The event is expected to draw the participation of more than 250 players representing all eight middle schools in the Maui district.

The 33rd edition of the nation’s premier early-season college basketball tournament will be held Nov. 21-23 at the Lahaina Civic Center on Maui.

The Kansas Jayhawks battled back from a first-half deficit to defeat Vanderbilt and win the 2015 Maui Jim Maui Invitational, 70-63. It was the Jayhawks’ second title all-time, having won the championship in 1996.

The No. 5 Kansas Jayhawks jumped out to a 29-point lead in the first half and then put the offense on cruise control in the second half en route to a 92-73 win over UCLA. The Jayhawks (3-1) were led by senior Perry Ellis who shot 9-for-12 from the floor and totaled 24 points to go along with a team-high six rebounds.

The near flawless free-throw shooting of UCLA, connecting on a mind-boggling 23 of 24 at the line, proved to be the difference against UNLV, as the Bruins beat the Rebels 77-75 in the nightcap of Monday’s opening-round action of the Maui Jim Maui Invitational at Lahaina Civic Center.

The Arizona Wildcats claimed the 2014 EA Sports Maui Invitational Tournament Championship with a 61-59 win over the San Diego State Aztecs Wednesday at the Lahaina Civic Center.

The third-ranked Arizona Wildcats answered their first big challenge of the season Tuesday, holding off Kansas State and advancing to the championship game of the EA Sports Maui Invitational.
