The Ka Ipu Kukui program completed its 15th year with a graduation ceremony at the ProArts Playhouse on May 31, 2023, and is now seeking applicants for its 16th cohort.

Skog Rasmussen LLC was co-founded in January of 2019 by Jeanne Skog, former CEO and President of Maui Economic Development Board and Teena Rasmussen, former Director of the County of Maui Office of Economic Development.

The Ka Ipu Kukui Fellows program, designed to help develop and train future Maui leaders, is now accepting applications for it’s 12th annual cohort.

The award is presented to individuals whom the MEDB feels has made outstanding contributions to strengthening and diversifying Maui County’s economy.

To date the fund has empowered more than 38,700 students and teachers in Maui County .Proceeds are used to support and administer MEDB-led STEM educational programs and to provide grants for the expansion Science, Technology, Engineering and Math educational initiatives.

More than $80,000 in grants were distributed among 20 organization by the Maui Economic Development Board through its MEDB Ke Alahele Education Fund.

Today, top executives from American Savings Bank were on-hand for the opening of the new Kihei Branch at the Piilani Village Shopping Center.
