KAHULUI AIRPORT: TEMPORARY WEEKEND RUNWAY CLOSURES SCHEDULED

The State Department of Transportation advises residents of Wailuku, Kahului and Sprecklesville of an expected increase in aircraft traffic over the areas due to airfield 1 work at Kahului Airport. Runway 2/20 will be closed on Saturday morning, January 17, through Sunday morning, January 18 from 12:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., nightly, for lighting and electrical work. During this time, flight patterns for arriving and departing aircraft will be modified, resulting in increased air traffic over the Wailuku, Kahului and Sprecklesville areas.
