Japanese Cultural Society of Maui (JCSM) President Keith Regan today announced that the organization is sponsoring Japanese conversational language classes during the months of February and March.  The Rev. Jeffrey Soga of the Kahului Hongwanji Mission will serve as the instructor.   The classes will focus primarily on basic conversation level interaction.  Participants will learn proper greetings, directions, numbers, how to ask questions while shopping and many other basic necessary speaking skills to be used while travelling in Japan.

The classes will be held on February 17, 24, and March 3, 10.  Classes are 7:00-9:00 pm.  Those interested must register by February 15 to participate.  The class is free for those participants who have made deposits to travel with the JCSM to Japan in October.  Others are invited to attend at a nominal fee.  The fees are $25.00 for JCSM members and $50.00 for non-JCSM members.

The class will be from 7:00p to 9:00p in the Credit Associates of Maui conference room located at 1817 Wells Street in Wailuku
