The Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism estimates that for every million dollar in stimulus money invested, 12.9 jobs will be created or preserved. Large scale projects on Maui include an $18.5 million project to install an explosive detection system at Kahului Airport and $15 million to build a new apron at the facility.
