Dispatchers at the Maui Police Department will be recognized throughout the week for the role they play in emergency communication.  The presentation is part of National Public Safety Telecommunications Week.  The week-long campaign helps people of all ages recognize the importance of 9-1-1 and the role they play in ensuring effective and efficient emergency response in times of crisis.  MPD Communications Supervisor Davlynn Racadio says that due to the expanding use of various communications devices, it is essential that our Communities are knowledgeable on how to access 911 correctly and utilize the system efficiently.
