PUBLIC MEETING TO BE HELD ON KAUNAKAKAI TO ADDRESS URGENT WATER CONSERVATION

KAUNAKAKAI, MOLOKAI, HI – The County of Maui will hold a public meeting will be today, Saturday, July 18 at the Kaunakakai Little League Ball Park at 12 noon. County officials will discuss the need for residents and businesses in Kaunakakai and Kalae on the island of Molokai to take immediate steps to conserve water and limit water usage until mechanical failures affecting water wells can be repaired. Residents and businesses in the affected areas should avoid unnecessary water usage such as washing vehicles and watering lawns. Officials called for immediate conservation efforts for Kaunakakai and Kalae on Friday.
