MAUI COUNTY ROAD WORK FOR 7/20-7/24
EXPECT MINOR DELAYS AT CRATER ROAD AT HALEAKALA JULY 21-24
Beginning Tuesday, July 21st work will begin to re-stripe two and a half miles of Crater Road in Haleakala National Park between the summit parking lot and the Kalahaku lookout. This work is scheduled to end at close of business Friday, July 24th. The road will remain open to visitor traffic. Delays of up to 15 minutes can be expected.
VARIOUS HANA HWY PARTIAL, FULL LANE CLOSURES
The state Department of Transportation advises Maui motorists of intermittent traffic stoppages on the Hana Highway (Route 360) on Monday, July 20, through Friday, July 24, at the following locations:
*Between Mile Post 19.18 (near the Wailua Lookout) and Mile Post 21.0
- 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., daily, single (Hana-bound) lane closure for rock scaling operations and debris removal.
- 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., daily, full roadway closure for rock scaling operations and debris removal. Due to equipment and weather delays, the project has been extended from July 20th through July 31st, weekdays only.
*Near Honolulunui Bay between Kapaula Bridge (Mile Post 23.38) and Kahalaowaka Bridge (Mile Post 25.95), from 6:00 a.m., to 1:30 p.m., daily for runoff preventative maintenance.

LAHAINALUNA ROAD DETOUR CONTINUES
The state Department of Transportation advises Maui motorists that
Lahainaluna Road will be closed from Kelawea Street to Ikena Avenue from Monday, July 20, through Sunday, July 26, for roadwork related to the Honoapiilani Highway Realignment project. During these closures, there will be no access between Ikena Avenue and Lahainaluna Road. Detours will be in effect. Motorists are advised to use caution while driving through the work area and to allow for extra travel time. Roadwork is weather-permitting.
KAMEHAMEHA V HIGHWAY LANE CLOSURES
The state Department of Transportation advises Molokai motorists of alternating single lane closures on Kamehameha V Highway in both directions between
Mile Post 7.9 and Mile Post 11.3 on Monday, July 20, through Friday, July 24, from 7:30 a.m., to 3.30 p.m., daily, for storm drain modifications and pavement resurfacing. Motorists are advised to use caution while driving through the work area and to allow for extra travel time. Roadwork is weather-permitting.
