KU MAI KA HULA INTERNATIONAL HULA COMPETITION
The Maui Arts and Cultural Center will be host to an international hula competition in September featuring halau from Hawaii, Japan and California. The Ku Mai Ka Hula International Hula Competition is a 4th annual event, featuring group and soloist winners competing in kahiko (traditional) hula and auana (modern-day) hula stylings. The event will be held Saturday September 12th at 11 a.m. in the Castle Theater.
The dancers compete in adult male and female group and solo performances. There will also be an over-50 kupuna division.
