Maui Police Chief Hosts West Maui Town Hall Meeting Tonight 10/26/09

The Maui Police Department hosts a Town Hall Meeting in West Maui tonight (Monday, October 26, 2009). The meeting runs from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Lahaina Civic Center and will be hosted by Maui Police Chief Gary Yabuta and Deputy Chief Clayton Tom. The meeting is open to the public and is a chance for the community to address their concerns.  The department will cover a variety of topics including dealing with criminal incidents, reducing crime, and curtailing drug activity.
The meetings are designed to address problems in the community and the direction of the new administration. Meetings that remain on the series schedule are as follows:
- Lahaina Civic Center, Lahaina, Maui. October 26, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Velma Santos Wailuku Community Center, Wailuku, Maui. November 3, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Lanai Community Center, Lanai, Maui. November 5, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
