Maui man killed in non combat incident in Iraq

A Kahului man serving as a solider in Iraq suffered fatal injuries in a non-combat related incident.  28-year-old Pfc. Charlie C. Antonio died April 18 in Annassar, Iraq.

He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 34rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division out of Fort Carson, Colorado.

Antonio’s death was announced today.  He was in Iraq supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
