Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea tops Conde Nast golf list

The Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea was ranked number one on a list of the top 80 golf resorts published by Condé Nast Traveler, and featured in the June 2010 edition of the Magazine.  The property was among six Maui resorts recognized this year.  Also making the list were the Lodge at Koele on Lanai, The Four Seasons Lanai at Manele Bay, The Fairmont Kea Lani in Wailea, The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua and the Grand Wailea Resort & Spa.

The list was part of the Magazine’s 14th Readers Choice survey that asked golfers where they prefer to play and stay.  The Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea earned 96 out of 100 points for the top spot on the list.  Factors considered in the ranked included Course Design and Access, Golf Staff & Services, Rooms, Service, Food/Dining, Location, and Overall Design.


The top 80 golf resorts were divided into eight regions that included a separate list for the top 15 Hawaii Golf Resorts.  The rankings were as follows:  (1) Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, 96 pts. (2) Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, Big Island, 94.2 pts. (3) Four Seasons Resort, Lodge at Koele, Lanai, 93.3 pts. (4) Four Seasons Resort Lana’i at Manele Bay, 92.7 pts. (5) Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui, 90.1 pts. (6) Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa, 89.4 pts. (7) Fairmont Orchid, Big Island, 87.8 pts. (8) Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows, Big Island, 86.7 pts. (9) JW Marriott Ihilani Resort and Spa at Koolina, Oahu, 86.5 pts. (10) Ritz-Carlton Kapalua, maui, 86.4 pts. (11) Grand Wailea, Maui, 85.9 pts. (12) Kauai Marriott Resort, 82.4 pts. (13) Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel, Big Island, 81.6 pts. (14) Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, Big Island, 81.2 pts. (15) Hilton Waikoloa Village, Big Island, 79.3 pts. (15) Turtle Bay Resort, Oahu, 79.3 pts.
