Refuse Not Picked Up in Upcountry, Paia Areas

Scheduled Friday (June 25, 2010) trash pickups were not made today in some areas of Kula, Makawao and Paia due to a staff shortage.  The affected areas include Door of Faith Road, Hana Highway, Haumana Road, Heaaula Place, Hohani Place, Kulike Road, E. Lelehuna Place, W. Lelehuna Place, Manawai Place, Oili Road, Pokoa Place, Ulalena Loop, Waipio Road and other surrounding streets.

Officials with the County of Maui’s Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division, apologize for the inconvenience, and say every effort will be made to pick up the refuse on Saturday, June 26, 2010.
