Traffic Advisory: Haleakala Highway

The Maui Police Department reports that all lanes of the Haleakala Highway are now open.  A single mauka bound lane was closed earlier today because of an auto accident overnight and subsequent pole repair work by Maui Electric Company between the Hana Highway and Firebreak Road.

One lane of the Haleakala Highway is closed in the mauka bound direction between the Hana Highway and Firebreak Road because of a traffic accident that occured overnight.  Both makai bound lanes are open.  Maui Electric Company is making repairs to poles in the area and expects to have the repair work complete in about two hours.
