Maui man dies following jump from rocks at Kapalua

A Maui man died following a jump from a rocky point in Kapalua on Sunday. Authorities identified the man as Kevin Wilson, 53, of Lahaina, and formerly of New Jersey.
The accident occurred at around 12 p.m. in waters off the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. According to police reports, Wilson was with a group of friends who were jumping from the location to the waters below when he collided into rocks.
The death is classified as a miscellaneous accident.
