Groundbreaking set for improvements at Maalaea Small Boat Harbor on Maui

The state will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for a new ferry terminal and pier improvement project at Maalaea Small Boat Harbor on Maui later this week.  Also planned are upgrades to electrical, sewer and water utilities, and reconstruction of existing roadways and parking areas to better accommodate harbor users.  The improvement project is part of the Lingle-Aiona Administration’s multi-year effort to upgrade small boat harbors and other outdoor recreational facilities statewide.  The groundbreaking will take place this Friday, December 3, 2010.
