Sharing Sacred Space with ShambhuDecember 2, 2010, 11:17 AM HST · Updated December 3, 11:34 AM 0 Comments
We all know we need to meditate, but many find it challenging to maintain focus and commitment.
There are many paths to a meditative state of being. Music is one such portal.
It can be trance inducing, and can carry you away on a journey without ever leaving home.
It is just such a gift that LA based artist, Shambhu, has created in his new musical meditation CD, “Sacred Love.” You can listen to selections from the album at http://www.shambhumusic.com
Shambhu is nearing the conclusion of his Maui tour to promote “Sacred Love,” and share the healing vibrations of his music with the island.
With a style that encompasses jazz, world, Indian, and new age music, Shambhu creates a gateway through which listeners can drop in find inner tranquility and peace from the mental chatter of daily life.
After his first visit to Maui in 1994 to organize the Maui Peace Run, he began a ritual visit to the island every few years to promote peace in Maui schools and savor the inspiration and beauty of our sacred shores.
Shambhu has graced the stage and studio with world class musicians like Carlos Santana and Whitney Houston.
Although he is capable of playing any genre, his 30 year practice of meditation with revered mystic, Sri Chinmoy, influenced his personal expression.
Shambhu is one of those unique individuals who can shift effortlessly between his left and right brain. He first had a successful career in PR and business, sharing council with great individuals such as Mikhail Gorbachev.
It was only recently that he pulled his passion for music off the shelf and dove in headfirst, producing “Sacred Love” with the help of the legendary Will Ackerman.
“My purpose is to learn the higher Path. To love. To become. To serve. Music is my service.”
